Grammy winning pianist, guitarist and band leader Jon Cleary will take us on a sonic journey through the history of New Orleans piano, using his piano as the guide. Cleary’s work pays homage to the classic Crescent City keyboard repertoire created by such icons as Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Art Neville, Dr. John, and James Booker – and this story-telling-by-piano session will be no different, with Relix editor Dean Budnick serving as moderator.
