How do I get to... ?

Google Map - Jazzfest

I've done a customized Jazzfest Google Map. This hybrid map/satellite view one lets you view city-wide to show the transport options, pan and zoom in to the neighborhood to see the exact bus and cab dropoffs, or zoom all the way in to see the details of the Fairgrounds.

Unfortunately, the custom markers on the map do not show up when you print.

Other maps are courtesy of Yahoo, and will open in a new browser window.

The Fairgrounds (daytime Jazzfest):

The main pedestrian entrance is at 1751 Gentilly Blvd.  If you are bicycling to the Fest, this is where the racks are.  Click for Overview Map, Close-Up Map or Directions.

There is a second pedestrian entrance at the corner of Fortin St. & Sauvage St.   If you are walking to the Festival from Downtown or the French Quarter, this is the closer entrance.  Click for Overview Map, Close-Up Map or Directions.

Here's the Official Fest Fairgrounds map, showing the stage locations.

The French Quarter:

The Quarter is bordered by Canal St., Rampart St., Esplanade Ave, and the Mississippi River.  The corner of Bourbon and St Peter is in the heart of the Quarter.   Click for Map or Directions.

New Orleans Airport:

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (airport code MSY) is in Kenner, about 12 miles west of downtown.  Click for Map or Directions.

Central Business District (Downtown) & Landmarks:

The downtown area borders the French Quarter to the southwest.  It's bordered (roughly) by Canal St., Claiborne Ave, the Ponchartrain Expy (90), and the River.   Click for Map or Directions.

Other Neighborhoods:

The Garden District is the area on both sides of St. Charles Ave, southwest of downtown, including the historic landmark area between St Charles and Magazine, from Jackson to Washington.  Map

Uptown is the area north of St Charles Ave, around Carrollton Ave and Napolean Ave.  Map

Mid City is the area around Carrollton Ave and Canal St.  Map

Faubourg Marigny is the area just down-river (ENE) of the French Quarter.  Map
